  • The first thing that you can do is to search for key information from that time. Especially if you are focusing on the actual St. Valentine. If you want to write about the actual St. Valentine you should search for any descriptive details you can find in historical representations if you cannot necessarily find descriptive information you may be able to glean some from other sources and using your imagination cultivate descriptions that you need. You may not know what it smells like the day that St. Valentine perform secret marriages but you can create sensory details based upon a location. For example presume that the marriages were done in secret it was most likely done at night so that the cover of darkness offered more secrecy and privacy. That being said you can easily determine that the sites included the darkness of the black night and perhaps even the stars in the sky
  • You might also know that he was a member of the church and from that you can determine what items of clothing were worn by members of the church at the time and use that information to create sensory data about what he looked like. You can also turn to images that exist of him to gain better insight into how he looked as well as what clothing he wore on a regular basis.
  • Things like this really help to bring together the seen you wish to create for the reader. The more detail you can include the better off you will be.
  • If possible you want to include data pertaining to all five senses and fill in the gaps where you do not have the information to support it.
